⚾️ Tim Stützle bats home OT winner, Ottawa salvages 5-4 win over Detroit in opening game of Global Series. You would’ve thought the German-native grew up playing American little league (he didn’t) as he batted a deflected Drake Batherson pass out of midair to the back of the net with just two seconds remaining in OT. The goal was Stützle’s third point of the game having assisted on two Brady Tkachuk 1st period goals. Jake Sanderson scored in the 1st while Josh Norris gave the Sens a 4-0 lead just 78 seconds into the 2nd. Detroit mounted an impressive rally to force OT and earn a point in the loss. Read more →

👑 Shea Theodore leads Golden Knights with four points, Vegas beats Montreal 6-5. The 28-year-old defenseman assisted Brayden McNabb’s 2nd period tally before burying a power play wrister to tie the game at 4-4 less than eight minutes later. Theodore carried his hot hand into the 3rd period collecting assists on Jack Eichel’s power play snipe with less than two minutes remaining in regulation followed by Mark Stone’s game-winning wrap-around 44 seconds later. The win gives Vegas a two points lead over the Canucks in the Pacific Division. Read more →

🔥 Elias Lindholm’s three-points powers the Flames over the Canucks 5-2. The former Hurricanes 1st round pick assisted Mackenzie Weegar’s beauty 1st period goal followed by Noah Hanifin’s late 2nd period tally before burying an empty netter for his third point of the night. Lindholm now leads the Flames with 11 points this season. Dillon Dube and Jonathan Huberdeau each scored their third goals of the season and Jacob Markstrom made 20 saves as the Flames improved to 4-1-1 in their last six games. Read more →
