Good morning and happy Thursday, November 10th. We're taking a minute to honor the Staal brothers this morning 🙌

And we're happy to report Evander Kane is on the mend and the Pens ended their losing streak. Cheers! 🍻

The Staal brothers still going strong 💪

Last night Florida Panthers beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0, featuring brothers Eric, Marc, and Jordan Staal. And while none of them lit up the scoresheet, we can't help but recognize their incredible careers and longevity...

Eric Staal, the oldest brother and a member of the Triple Gold Club, has become a bit of a veteran journeyman over the past couple of seasons with stops in Buffalo, Montreal, and even Iowa (AHL), before signing a one-year contract with the Panthers this October hoping to raise one more Stanley Cup.

Marc Staal, the second oldest, played his 1,000th NHL game as a member of the Detroit Red Wings last season (setting a new NHL record) before signing a one-year veteran-minimum contract with the Florida Panthers over the offseason, hoping to raise his first Stanley Cup.

And Jordan Staal is riding out the final year of his contract where he's spent the last 11 seasons in Carolina. And as the captain of a deep Canes squad, he has a legitimate chance of raising his second Stanley Cup, the first coming as a member of the 2009 Pittsburgh Penguins.

Combined, through last night's game, the three Staal brothers have played a remarkable 3,438 NHL games! 🤯

Begging the question: why isn't Henry Staal (their father) making a fortune selling his seed across Canada?

CAN'T MISS

🙏 Evander Kane is alright but out 3-4 months. Kane was cut by Pat Maroon's skate Tuesday night before being rushed to the hospital and undergoing a procedure. His injury leaves a huge hole in the Oilers' lineup, but we're all grateful he's okay and on the mend.

🐧 Penguins top Capitals 4-1 to end seven-game skid. And it wasn't easy as the Pens lost defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Jan Rutta in the second period, and briefly lost Jeff Petry in the third, forcing the team to play with only three defensemen.
