Plus, Kent Johnson snipes in OT, Matt Boldy scores in regulation and shootout, and more.
Good morning and Happy Friday!
Considering the Oilers were riding an 8-game win streak into their matchup with the Lightning, I understand why 66.7% of yesterday’s poll participants predicted an Oilers win last night.
But, unfortunately, Steven Stamkos had something to say about your overconfidence — more on that below.

🎯 Matt Boldy scores in regulation and shootout, Wild edge Flames 3-2. The Massachusetts native made the Flames pay for a sloppy 1st period turnover, picking the top right corner over the glove of Calgary’s Dan Vladar for his 8th goal of the season and 5th in his last five games. Marco Rossi ripped a slapshot off a rebound just under five minutes into the 3rd for his 10th goal of the season to the tie the game at 2-2 and force overtime.
