Sharks Circle the Depths: A Dive into San Jose's Historically Bad NHL Season

The San Jose Sharks have a shot to earn the unofficial title of the worst team of the NHL’s salary cap era.

As of this morning, the Sharks own a record of 17-49-8. That gives them a points percentage (formerly known as winning percentage) of .284. 

If the Sharks finish the season with that points percentage, they would be the second-worst team in the salary cap era.
