🙋‍♀️ Kraken name Jessica Campbell assistant coach, becomes 1st woman to work on the bench of an NHL franchise. The 32-year-old Rocanville, Saskatchewan native was a decorated player in the NCAA, Canadian Women’s Hockey League, and Canada’s women’s national team before hanging up her skates to pursue coaching. In 2022 she was hired by the Coachella Valley Firebirds, becoming the AHL’s first full-time female assistant coach where she’s credited in playing a significant role in the development of players like Shane Wright and Tye Kartye. She also worked as an assistant coach for Germany during the 2022 IIHF World Championships. Read more →

✍️ Macklin Celebrini signs 3-year entry-level contract with the Sharks. The Vancouver native inked his 1st NHL contract Saturday, upon the conclusion of the San Jose’s prospect development camp. As the youngest player in NCAA hockey last season, Celebrini had an impressive freshman season at Boston University where he finished 3rd in NCAA scoring with 64 points in 38 games. Sharks’ GM Mike Grier said it was clear Celebrini was NHL-ready on and off the ice. Read more →
