Good morning. If last night’s draft and PWHL Showcase were any indication, this year’s NHL All-Star Game weekend should actually prove entertaining for a change.

Don’t forget: the skills competition goes down tonight at 7 p.m. ET with the All-Star game tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET.

🎩 Savannah Harmon scores hat trick, Team King defeats Team Kloss in PWHL 3-on-3 Showcase. You could say the 6th overall draft pick of the Buffalo Beauts had herself a night, scoring or assisting on every goal for Team King. Ella Shelton opened scoring, Kendall Coyne Schofield scored the 5th and final goal for Team King, and Aerin Frankel and Ann-Renee Desbiens combined for 13 saves in the win. Alex Carpenter, Jocelyne Larocque, and Brianne Jenner scored for Team Kloss. The 20-minute 3-on-3 game featured 24 players from the PWHL, playing in front of a crowd of 16,392. Read more →

✅ 2024 NHL All-Star game rosters are set. The NHL’s leading scorer at the All-Star break, Nikita Kucherov was selected 1st overall by Team Hughes. Willy Nylander was drafted 2nd to join his regular season teammate and All-Star captain Auston Matthews, with Sidney Crosby going 3rd to Team MacKinnon, and Connor Hellebuyck going 4th to Team McDavid to round out the 1st round. Matthews made sure to draft his other Toronto teammates, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly. And we’re excited to see what kind of magic McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and David Pastrnak produce. Read more →
