🦈 Anthony Duclair scores a goal and adds an assist as Sharks beat Flyers 2-1 for 1st win of the season. Duclair redirected a Kevin Labanc feed to the back of the net just 1:43 into the game before setting up William Eklund for the power play one-timer late in the 2nd for what proved to be the game winner. Mackenzie Blackwood made 38 saves as the Sharks handed the Flyers their 5th loss in six games. The San Jose Sharks avoided making history as their 11-game losing streak entering last night’s matchup was tied for the longest such streak to start an NHL season. Read more →

🗽Artemi Panarin extends point streak to 12 games, leads Rangers to 5-3 win over the Red Wings. The 32-year-old forward assisted on Chris Kreider’s 2nd period goal before one-timing an Alexis Lafreniere feed less than four minutes later for the eventual game-winner, giving the Russian-native 20 points through 12 games this season. Jonathan Quick collected 25 saves while Vince Trocheck scored twice and rookie Will Cuylle scored his third of the season as the Rangers improve to 7-0-1 in their last eight games. Read more →

🚫 Tristan Jarry & Magnus Hellberg combine for 32-save shutout, Pens defeat Ducks 2-0. Tristan Jarry started, making 21 saves before leaving the game late in the 2nd period thanks to a cut near his right eye. Magnus Hellberg stepped in and made 11 saves in the 3rd to preserve the shutout. Czech-native Radim Zohorna buried a Lars Eller feed midway through the 1st, which proved to be the game-winner, and Sidney Crosby added an empty netter, extending his point streak to six games, as the Pens won their second game in a row.
