Despite Auston Matthews scoring his league-leading 34th goal just 27 seconds into regulation & Morgan Rielly extending the Leafs lead to 2-0 midway through the 2nd, the Oilers rallied the troops to score four straight, thanks to goals from Leon Draisaitl, Derek Ryan, Ryan McLeod, and Evan Bouchard, to hand the Leafs their 4th consecutive loss while extending Edmonton’s franchise best winning streak to 11. 🔥 Yegor Sharangovich scores in dying seconds of overtime, Flames defeat the Coyotes 3-2. The 25-year-old Belarusian capitalized on the Coyotes too-many-men penalty in overtime, sniping the top right corner past the Yotes’ Connor Ingram for his 18th goal of the season with just 17 seconds remaining in the extra period to complete the Flames come-from-behind win. Blake Coleman and Nazem Kadri scored 63 seconds apart midway through the 3rd to force overtime, and Flames netminder Dan Vladar made 23 saves as the Flames won their 4th straight. Read more →

🦅 Darcy Kuemper makes 24 saves, Capitals shutout the Ducks 2-0. The 12-year veteran netminder was unbeatable, turning aside every shot faced including a 12-shot barrage in the 3rd period last night. The shutout is Kuemper’s 1st of the season and 31st of his career. Ethan Bear scored the game-winning goal in the last minute of the 1st period, his first NHL goal in almost exactly a year after rehabbing a shoulder surgery and signing with the Capitals this December.
