The recently acquired winger buried his own rebound midway through the 1st, sniped low glove right-post-and-in early in the 3rd for the eventual game-winner, and completed the hat trick effort with an empty netter with 71 seconds remaining in regulation for his 4th goal of the season. Justin Danforth opened scoring with his 10th of the year, Erik Gudbranson clapped home his 4th, and Yegor Chinakhov buried his 16th. Despite being outshot from the Flyers 20 to 6 in the third and overtime periods, the 30-year-old netminder made 40 saves, including a breakaway stop on Flyers’ Sanheim with 12 seconds remaining in overtime, plus 3 more in the shootout to lead the Blues to their 2nd straight win, and Binnington’s 2nd consecutive 1-goal-against performance. Kevin Hayes snapped a 19-game goalless drought with a goal against his former team and Jake Neighbours and Pavel Buchnevich scored the shootout.
