MacKinnon extends scoring streak with 4 points 🚨

Plus, Adam Henrique scores 1st NHL hat trick, Darcy Kuemper leads Caps in shootout win, and more.

Good morning.

Despite fairly even voting, the Ducks vs. Rangers game won Friday’s poll by a landslide with 38 PIMs compared to 14 PIMs in the Bruins vs. Isles game and only 8 PIMs in the Sharks vs. Coyotes.

And considering the Coyotes beat the Sharks 1-0 Friday night, it sounds like that game was a real barn-burner to watch.

Today’s Lineup:

  • Nathan MacKinnon extends point streak to 15 games

  • Adam Henrique scores 1st hat trick against former team

  • Darcy Kuemper nearly perfect in Caps win

  • And a lot more… 👇

📈 Nathan MacKinnon extends point streak with 4 point night, Avalanche overwhelm Sharks 6-2. The Nova Scotia native collected 1st period assists on Valeri Nichushkin and Mikko Rantanen goals, snapped a puck off the right post and in for his 13th goal of the season early in the 2nd, and buried an empty netter with less than five minutes to play for his 4th point of the night, extending his point streak to 15 games. Miles Wood and Ryan Johansen also scored while Alexandar Georgiev made 27 saves as the win puts the Avs atop the Central Division standings. Read more →

🧢 Adam Henrique gets 1st NHL hat trick, Ducks beat Devils 5-1 to end five-game losing streak. The 33-year-old veteran forward deflected a Pavel Mintyukov shot through the legs of Akira Schmid for his 1st of the night to open scoring just 1:46 into regulation, banged home a rebound less than 10 minutes later for the eventual game-winner, and hit the empty net for his 1st NHL hat trick in his 859th career game, coincidentally against his former team. Alex Killorn had a goal and two assists and Troy Terry had a goal and an assist in the Ducks win. Read more →

🦅 Darcy Kuemper records 28 saves, Capitals top Hurricanes 2-1 in a shootout. The 33-year-old netminder was nearly flawless, recording 28 saves and a .966 save percentage in regulation before stopping all three Hurricanes shootout attempts in the Capitals win. Martin Fehervary scored his 1st of the season midway through the 2nd for the Capitals lone regulation goal and Evgeny Kuznetsov scored in the shootout as the Capitals have earned points in five of their past six games.
