🚨 Alex Ovechkin ends goal-drought with OT winner, Caps top Blue Jackets 3-2. Fortunately for Caps fans and those hoping Ovi breaks Gretzky’s goal record, the 38-year-old superstar snapped his career-long 14-game goalless drought last night, wiring a wrister over the left pad of Elvis Merzlikins on the power play with just 53 seconds remaining in overtime for his 6th goal of the season and 135th game-winner of his career. Anthony Mantha opened scoring, deflecting in an Ovechkin shot, late in the 1st before scoring his second of the night exactly 19 minutes later in the 2nd period. Read more →

🦬 Sabres erupt for 9 goals, embarrass Maple Leafs 9-3. After giving up 9 goals in their previous game against the Blue Jackets, the Buffalo Sabres rallied to score 9 of their own led by Jeff Skinner and Kyle Okposo’s two goals each and Alex Tuch’s four assists last night. Jordan Greenway, Owen Power, Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson, and Jack Quinn added goals for the Sabres who maintained a consistent attack throughout the night, scoring 3 goals each period.
