The Halifax, Nova Scotia native one-timed a Cale Makar feed to the back of the net just 32 seconds into overtime to complete the Avs’ come-from-behind win over the Islanders. The Avs battled back from 3-1 and 4-3 deficits to force overtime. Valeri Nichushkin scored twice, Devon Toews and Jonathan Drouin added goals, Cale Makar collected three assists, while MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen registered two helpers each.
