CAN’T MISS 🎯

✌️ Mark Scheifele scores twice, Jets defeat Coyotes 6-2 to sit atop NHL standings. Thanks to a nifty Nikolaj Ehlers feed, the 30-year-old center was sprung for a breakaway just over five minutes into the 3rd where he made no mistake, burying it on his backhand, before adding an empty-netter 13 minutes later. Vladislav Namestnikov, Cole Perfetti, Adam Lowry, and Nikolaj Ehlers also scored in Winnipeg's sixth straight win. The Jets' 12-game points streak (10-0-2) is their longest since joining the league as the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999-00, and their 56 points is good for 1st place in the NHL. Read more →

🚨 Colin Blackwell leads Chicago with 3 points, including two goals, Blackhawks smother Flames 4-3. The former 2011 seventh round pick of the Sharks wasted no time making his presence felt in last night’s game, scoring a beauty just 4:32 into regulation before setting up Nikita Zaitsev’s 2nd period tally and scoring his 2nd, the eventual game-winner, in the last half of the 3rd period on the power play. Philipp Kurashev scored his 8th of the season and Petr Mrazek made 28 saves as the Blackhawks played their first game without Connor Bedard (fractured jaw). Read more →

⏱️ Michael Rasmussen scores game-winner with 77 seconds remaining in regulation, Red Wings down the Ducks 3-2. The 6’6” forward scored his 9th goal of the season in the dying seconds of regulation, redirecting a Moritz Seider centering feed with his left foot to the back of the net. Dylan Larkin and Joe Veleno also scored, and Alex Lyon made 29 saves for the Red Wings (20-16-4), who swept their three-game California road trip. Trevor Zegras scored two highlight reels goal for the Ducks, the 1st an incredible deflection, the 2nd a glove side snipe to tie the game. Read more →
