Despite scoring two hat tricks in Stanley Cup playoffs action, the former 6th round pick of the Senators required 628 regular season games to collect his 1st hatty in regular season play. Stone buried a rebound late in the 1st, finished a Chandler Stephenson just a minute into the 2nd, and sniped left bar and in off the rush with less than 30 seconds remaining in the 2nd to complete the hat trick. The 34-year-old winger scored a beautiful breakaway goal with just 4 seconds remaining in the 1st period to get the Ducks on the board before beating the Panthers’ Anthony Stolarz to the glove side just 48 seconds into the OT period to secure the Ducks win. The Ducks battled back from 2-0 and 4-2 deficits thanks to 29 saves by John Gibson and goals from Adam Henrique, Jakob Silfverberg, and Troy Terry to snap Anaheim’s two game losing streak.
