🔥 Mackenzie Weegar scores with five seconds left in OT, Flames defeat Golden Knights 2-1. The 29-year-old defenseman started the rush behind his own net, weaved through the neutral zone and snapped one past the blocker of Vegas’ Adin Hill to complete the come-from-behind win. With his 5th goal of the season, Weegar is on pace to shatter his previous career high of eight goals in the 2021-22 season. A.J. Greer tied the game at 1-1 just 2:31 into the 3rd period and Dan Vladar made 28 saves for a .964 save percentage for the Flames, who have won two of three. Read more →

✌️ Sam Reinhart scores twice, Panthers shutout Senators 5-0 in tension-filled game. The West Vancouver native opened scoring just 98 seconds into the 1st before potting his second of the night six minutes into the 2nd to tie him for the league lead in goals with 15 on the season. Sergei Bobrovsky made 20 saves for his 2nd shutout of the year. Emotions rose at the end of the 2nd and bled into the 3rd as the Panthers and Senators combined for 167 penalty minutes, including a line brawl where all 10 skaters involved received 10-minute misconducts. "That's mild. We only got to about 167 minutes there, it's got to get to the 250s before it gets too squirrely," Panthers coach Paul Maurice said. "Sometimes hockey can get like that, that's part of why the game so great. Because it's graceful and beautiful and physical and angry all at the same time. It's probably good for both teams, you get to make it part of the story of your year."
