The 27-year-old netminder was unbeatable last night, earning his 1st shutout since December 8, 2021 and the 9th of his career as the Sharks improved to 5-4-1 in their last ten games. Veteran defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic broke the scoreless tie midway through the 3rd period, quickly catching and releasing a Ty Emberson D-to-D pass past Kraken’s Joey Daccord for his 4th goal and 1st game-winner of the season. 🧱 Elvis Merzlikins makes 21 saves, Blue Jackets blank Blues 1-0. The former 3rd round pick outdueled the Blues’ Jordan Binnington to record his 1st shutout since January 13, 2022 and 10th of his career to end the Blues five-game winning streak. Blue Jackets’ rookie Dmitri Voronkov buried a sick Zach Werenski feed less than five minutes into the 3rd period for his 12th goal and 1st game-winning goal of his budding NHL career. Voronkov is tied with teammate Adam Fantilli for 3rd most goals among rookies, trailing Chicago’s Connor Bedard (15) and Minnesota’s Marco Rossi (13). Read more →
