🚨 Alexis Lafrenière scores in overtime, Rangers rally past Avalanche 2-1. The former 1st overall draft pick accepted a Mika Zibanejad drop pass while entering the offensive zone, drove wide, cut back to the middle, and sniped blocker side while using defenseman Erik Gustafsson as a screen, just 1:53 into the extra period for his 1st overtime and 4th game-winning goal of the season. Artemi Panarin scored off a weird bounce to tie the game at 1-1 midway through the 3rd period while Jonathan Quick collected 32 saves and an OT assist to secure the come-from-behind win. Read more →

⌛️ Pierre Engvall scores late against former team, Islanders beat the Maple Leafs 3-2. Playing his first game in Toronto since being traded to the Islanders last season, the 27-year-old left winger buried a Brock Nelson rebound for his 6th goal of the season, 1st game-winner, with just 2:02 remaining in regulation. All-Star Mathew Barzal scored his 14th of the season midway through the 1st to open scoring, rookie Kyle MacLean gave New York a 2-1 lead early in the 2nd, and Ilya Sorokin made 35 saves as the Islanders secured their 1st regulation win since January 4th.
