Rookie defenseman Seamus Casey sniped his 3rd of the season before Stefan Noesen scored his 2nd midway through the 2nd and Nico Hischier added his 2nd of the year on the power play midway through the 3rd. Anders Lee, Kyle Palmieri, Anthony Duclair, and Mathew Barzal added goals for the Islanders as Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves for a .941 save percentage as New York improves to 1-1-1 on the season.
