☝️ Jamie Drysdale picks up assist in Flyers debut, Philadelphia beats Montreal 3-2 in a shootout. The 21-year-old defenseman picked up an apple midway through the 2nd period, setting up Morgan Frost on the power play for his 7th goal of the season to tie the game at 2-2. In addition to his assist, Drysdale logged 19:46 of ice time and picked up a hit and two shots in his debut. Owen Tippett scored his 14th of the year for goals in two straight, and Sean Couturier scored the only goal of the shootout. Samuel Ersson made 17 saves and stopped three shots in the shootout. ✌️ Valeri Nichushkin scores two power play goals, Avalanche shutout Golden Knights 3-0. The 6’4” Russian native continued his red hot start to the season, scoring two power play goals, giving him 22 goals on the season — his career high is 25 in ‘21-’22. Nichushkin is on pace for 44 goals and 84 points this season. Nathan MacKinnon had an assist to extend his season-opening home points streak to 23 games, Mikko Rantanen collected two helpers, Logan O’Connor scored his 7th of year, and Alexandar Georgiev made 25 saves for his 2nd shutout of the season and 15th of his career. ⭐️ Seven different Stars score goals, Dallas wallops Minnesota 7-2. The Dallas Stars ruined the Wild’s rookie netminder Jesper Wallstedt’s NHL debut, scoring 7 goals on 34 shots. Joe Pavelski, Matt Duchene, Roope Hintz, Jason Robertson, Nils Lundkvist, Tyler Seguin, and Sam Steel all scored. Esa Lindell collected three assists, and Mason Marchment had two assists for Dallas, who won both games of a home-and-home series against the Wild by a combined score of 11-2 (4-0 at Minnesota on Monday). Scott Wedgewood made 21 saves as Dallas improves to 7-0-3 in its last 10 games against the Wild. Read more →
