🚫 Jake Oettinger makes 27 saves, Stars shut out Jets 2-0 to take sole possession of 2nd place in the Central Division. Despite being outshot 27 to 21, the 24-year-old American netminder recorded his 1st shutout of the season, 8th of his NHL career, to improve to 9-4-0-2 on the season. Joe Pavelski extended his point streak to seven games, scoring his team leading 10th goal midway through the 2nd which proved to be the game winner. 🔴⚪️ Patrick Kane signs one-year, $2.75 million contract with Detroit Red Wings. The nine-time All-Star spent the first 16 seasons of his illustrious NHL career as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks where he was drafted 1st overall in 2007 and captured three Stanley Cups (‘10, ‘13, & ‘15) and a Conn Smythe Trophy (‘13). Kane was traded to the Rangers last February before having offseason hip resurfacing surgery. Kane has 1,237 points including 451 goals in 1,180 NHL games.
