🚨 Elias Pettersson collects four points, Canucks defeat the Rangers 6-3. The Swedish native assisted on J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser’s 1st period goals before scoring twice himself: his first of the night an absolute beauty, showcasing incredible hands and patience, the 2nd an empty netter. Nils Hoglander also scored twice, Boeser and Filip Hronek added two assists each, and Thatcher Demko made 39 saves as the Canucks won their third time in four games. 🚫 Matt Murray records shutout in season debut, Stars beat the Wild 4-0. Starting just his 4th NHL game ever, the 25-year-old undrafted netminder stonewalled the Wild, collecting 23 saves in his season debut to record his first NHL shutout. Tyler Seguin extended his point streak to five game (five goals, three assists) with a goal and an assist last night. Roope Hintz and Radek Faksa both scored shorthanded goals while Jason Robertson added a power play tally for Dallas, who snap a three game losing streak with last night’s win. Read more →

In his five career AHL shutouts -- three of them have come against Minnesota's AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild.

💰 William Nylander signs 8-year, $92-million contract extension with the Leafs. The 27-year-old Swede signed the largest contract in franchise history Monday, with an average cap hit of $11.5 million per year beginning next season. According to Cap Friendly, $69 million of the $92 million will be paid in bonus money, with a full no-movement clause throughout the contract. Nylander is on pace to record 119 points (46 goals, 73 assists) in 82 games this year after setting NHL career highs in goals (40), assists (47) and points (87) in 82 games last season. Read more →
