CAN’T MISS 🎯
🚨 Connor McDavid ends goalless drought with OT winner, Oilers rally past Blues 3-2. The Oilers captain has been racking up assists like it’s going out of style (25 apples in past 11 games 🤯) but hadn’t scored a goal of his own since February 6th against Vegas. That changed last night when McDavid weaved his way through the neutral zone before rushing wide and snapping a shot that deflected off Jordan Binnington’s left shoulder before hitting the back of the net with 26 seconds remaining in overtime — the 16th OT goal of his career. Zach Hyman scored twice to become the first Oiler since Petr Klima not named McDavid or Draisaitl to reach the 40-goal mark.

⭐️ Dallas Stars acquire defenseman Chris Tanev from the Flames in 3-team trade. The Stars sent the Flames 20-year-old defenseman Artem Grushnikov, a 2nd round pick this summer, and a conditional 3rd rounder in 2026, payable only if the Stars make it to this year’s final. The Flames retain 50% of Tanev’s salary, the New Jersey Devils pick up 25% and a 4th round pick from Dallas in the 2026 draft for facilitating the trade. Tanev, a pending UFA, leads the Flames with 171 blocks and has 14 points (1 goal, 13 assists) with a plus-16 rating, averaging 19:50 of ice time in 56 games this season.
✌️ Artemi Panarin scores twice, Rangers beat Blue Jackets 4-1 to become 1st team to hit 40 wins this season. The Russian superstar opened scoring last night, winning a faceoff battle before rifling one through the five-hole of Merzlikins for his 34th goal of the season. The Bread Man added an assist on Chris Kreider’s empty-net goal and added one of his own 41 seconds later to end the game with 3 points and tied for 6th most goals in the NHL with 35. Adam Fox scored on the power play and Igor Shesterkin made 30 saves for a .968 save percentage as the Rangers finish February with a 10-1-0 record to sit atop the NHL standings, tied with Vancouver.

THROWBACK THURSDAYS ⏳
This week we’re celebrating a true gem: Sergei Fedorov!
The former superstar was one of the most dominant forces our game has ever seen, primarily playing center but also capable of taking the game over on the wing or even playing defense. 🤯
The Hall-of-Famer and 6-time NHL All-Star (3x KHL All-Star) won the Hart Trophy, Lester B. Pearson Award, Frank J. Selke Trophy (2x), and of course, three Stanley Cups.
And he’s single handedly responsible for having every youth play in the mid ‘90s begging their parents for a pair of white Nike skates.
