🚫 Connor Hellebuyck makes 17 saves, Jets shutout Sharks 1-0. The former 5th round pick recorded his 3rd shutout of the season, and 35th of his career, to blank the lowly Sharks last night. The win gives Hellebuyck 25 wins on the season for the 7th time in his career. Jets’ Assistant Captain Mark Scheifele preserved the shutout with a goal line stop late in the 2nd period. Morgan Barron scored the lonely goal of the game, deflecting a Neal Pionk shot late in the 1st period for his 9th of the season. The Jets have now won two in a row after losing their previous five (0-4-1). Read more →

🔁 Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy lead the Wild past the Coyotes 3-1. The Wild opened scoring the last half of the 1st period thanks to Matt Boldy setting up Joel Eriksson Ek in front of the net on the power play for his team-leading 24th goal. And Eriksson Ek returned the favor midway through the 3rd period, springing Boldy on a mini-breakaway where the Boston College alum went five-hole for his 19th on the year. Jonas Brodin scored his 3rd of the season in the final minute of the 2nd period and Marc Andre-Fleury made 25 saves in the Wild’s fourth consecutive win. Read more →

3️⃣ Matthew Tkachuk collects 3 points, Panthers roll over Penguins 5-2. The 26-year-old winger extended his point streak to three games (2 goals, 6 assists), burying an Evan Rodrigues feed less than 5 minutes into regulation for his 18th of the year, before setting up Aaron Ekblad and Anton Lundell later in the period to cap off a 3-point opening frame. Jonah Gadjovich scored his 2nd of the season just 34 seconds after Tkachuk’s opening goal, Lundell added his 2nd of the night early in the 3rd, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 25 saves for the Panthers who have won 7 of their past 8 games.
