🍾 Connor Bedard scores twice including 1st overtime winner, Blackhawks drop Jets 2-1. The 18-year-old rookie sensation extended his point streak to five games (three goals, five assists) by following up and burying his own rebound to open scoring with just over four minutes remaining in the 1st period last night, before receiving a pass in his own zone and rushing the puck down the ice and wiring one of his patented wristers past the glove side of Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck to win it in overtime. 🐧 Kris Letang records 6 assists, Penguins dominate Islanders 7-0. Pittsburgh’s veteran defenseman became the 1st defenseman in NHL history to record five points in a period, collecting five assists in the 2nd last night, before adding a sixth assist on Valtteri Puustinen’s first career goal midway through the 3rd period. Jake Guentzel and Evgeni Malkin each scored twice and Rickard Rakell and Radim Zohorna added goals for the Pens. Tristan Jarry made 22-saves for his NHL-leading fourth shutout of the season and Marcus Pettersson recorded an NHL career high four assists. Read more →
🌵 Jack McBain bats in overtime goal, Coyotes rally from four-goal deficit to beat Avalanche 5-4. The 23-year-old Toronto-native batted in Jason Zucker’s rebound with just twenty seconds remaining in the overtime period to complete Arizona’s incredible rally over their Central Division foe. Down 4-0 midway through the game, Lawson Crouse scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season to get the Coyotes on the board, followed by goals from Michael Kesselring, Jason Zucker, and Sean Durzi to tie the game and force overtime.
