✌️ New Jersey Devils start the 2024-25 season 2-0 with Global Series sweep over the Sabres. Despite being outshot 31 to 23, Jacob Markstrom made 30 saves in his Devils’ debut Friday, while Stefan Noesen, Johnathan Kovacevic, Nico Hischier, and Paul Cotter scored to secure a 4-1 win. The team traded Ullmark, adding Joonas Korpisalo, who is scheduled to start the Bruins’ season opener, as Swayman’s new backup. Read more →

Jacob Markstrom made an incredible save in the 1st period of New Jersey’s 1st win Friday in Prague, extending the paddle of his goalie stick to deny Nicolas Aube-Kubel his 1st goal of the season. I know we’re only two games into the 2024-25 regular season, but this is a legit candidate for save of the year!
