🚨 Bo Horvat scores in overtime, Islanders beat the Stars 3-2. The 28-year-old center one-timed a Mathew Barzal setup past the Stars’ Scott Wedgewood for his 23rd goal and 3rd overtime winner of the season. Ryan Pulock opened scoring late in the 1st period with a heavy wrister for his 4th of the year. Isles’ rookie Kyle MacLean buried a Pierre Engvall feed for his 2nd goal of the season and his NHL career. Ilya Sorokin made 30 saves for a .938 save percentage. After losing 5 of their last 6, the Islanders sit 7 points back from the final Eastern Conference wild card. Read more →

🧱 Philipp Grubauer makes 29 saves, Kraken defeat Bruins in a shootout 4-3. The German netminder was a force all night, collecting 29 saves in regulation before stopping all 3 Boston shootout attempts for his 8th win of the year. Jordan Eberle scored his 14th of the season on the power play, finishing a Linus Ullmark blunder with his backhand. Vince Dunn walked in and ripped one past Ullmark early in the 3rd and Oliver Bjorkstrand tipped home his 14th of the year to give the Kraken a brief 3-2 lead in the 3rd. 🚀 Evan Bouchard blasts 3rd period tiebreaker, Oilers smother the Kings 4-2. The former 1st round pick didn’t hesitate, unleashing a wicked one-timer from the point past the glove of Kings’ goaltender David Rittich for his 15th goal of the season just 85 seconds into the 3rd period for the eventual game-winner. Zach Hyman got Edmonton on the board in the final minute of the 1st with his 38th tuck of the year, Leon Draisaitl scored his 29th on the power play late in the 2nd, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins deflected in his 16th late in the 3rd for insurance, and Stuart Skinner collected 38 saves as the Oilers snapped a 3-game losing streak.
