The former 5th round draft pick turned superstar deflected in Alex Goligoski’s point shot late in the 1st period, sniped a spinning turnaround shot midway through the 2nd, and added an empty-netter, thanks to a fortuitous bounce, to complete the hat trick last night. Joel Eriksson Ek scored the go-ahead goal in the third period and had two assists, Jake Middleton added a 2nd empty net goal, and Filip Gustavsson made 40 saves for the Wild, who have won three of their past four games. Unfazed by the Flyers mounting a 3-1 lead midway through the game, the 22-year-old German forward banged home a rebound in the 2nd period before burying an empty netter late in the 3rd for his 9th and 10th goals of the season. Zach MacEwen scored a pretty breakaway goal to get the Sens on the board, and veteran forwards Claude Giroux and Vladimir Tarasenko scored in the 3rd period to rally past Philadelphia.
