The American sniper continued his torrid scoring pace, going low glove for his 1st of the night midway through the 2nd, before blasting a one-timer short side on the power play, followed by a pull-in glove side rip with just 65 seconds remaining in the 2nd to complete the natural hat trick — his 5th hat trick of the season. 🧱 Anthony Stolarz makes 45 saves, Panthers shut out the Sabres 4-0. The Edison, New Jersey native recorded his 1st shutout of the season and as a member of the Panthers in style, recording the 3rd most saves in a shutout in franchise history. Carter Verhaeghe opened scoring with his 27th of the season midway through the 1st, Anton Lundell deflected in his 7th in the dying minutes of the 2nd, before Verhaeghe scored an empty-netter late in the 3rd and Ryan Lomberg banged home a rebound with just 12 seconds remaining in regulation as the Panthers won their 4th straight. 🎩 Chris Kreider nets hat trick, Rangers beat the Canadiens 7-4. The former 1st round pick one-timed a Mika Zibanejad feed midway through the 1st to get the Rangers on the board, followed by tipping home an Artemi Panarin point shot on the power play just over four minutes later, before redirecting a beautiful backdoor sauce pass from Zibanejad to complete the 6th hat trick of his career. Zibanejad finished with a goal and two assists, Adam Fox had four assists, Artemi Panarin had three assists, and Jonathan Quick made 31 saves as the Rangers won their 6th straight to sit atop the Metro.
