⭐️ Auston Matthews shines, collects 4 points in 7-4 win over Rangers. The American sniper became the 1st player in the league to reach the 20-goal mark this season, catching and releasing a sweet William Nylander feed to the back of the net just shy of 4 minutes into regulation before assisting on two Mitch Marner goals and burying his own rebound late in the 3rd for his second tuck of the night. Conor Timmins scored his 1st of the season, Calle Jarnkrok his 7th, and Martin Jones made 28 saves in his 1st start this season as the Leafs improve to 6-1-3 in their last ten games. Read more →
🧢 Brock Boeser scores natural hat trick, Canucks defeat Lightning 4-1. Tied 1-1 after the 1st, the 26-year-old winger got to work, first burying a rebound midway through the 2nd, followed by a lethal one-timer off the Quinn Hughes feed just over 7 minutes later, before hitting an empty netter to complete the hatty and finish the game with 21 goals on the season, tied with Auston Matthews for the league lead. Andrei Kuzmenko scored the other Vancouver goal, Quinn Hughes collected three assists, and Thatcher Demko recorded a .966 save percentage in the win. Read more →
🚫 Joey Daccord records 1st NHL shutout, Kraken beat Panthers 4-0 to end eight-game skid. Despite being outshot by the Panthers, the former Senators draft pick and current Kraken netminder played a flawless game last night, collecting 24 saves for his 1st shutout in his 35th career game. Kailer Yamamoto opened scoring early in the 2nd with a beautiful top shelf finish on the breakaway, which proved to be the game winner, and added an assist on Pierre-Edouard Bellemare’s 3rd period goal. Alex Wennberg and Eeli Tolvanen rounded out Seattle’s scoring. Read more →

But Bedard’s early efforts weren’t enough as Chicago lost 4-1 to Edmonton as the Oilers extended their win streak to eight games and Connor McDavid extended his point streak to ten games.
