🎩 Andrei Svechnikov scores hat trick, Hurricanes defeat the Canadiens 5-3. The former 2nd overall pick redirected a Brent Burns shot just 95 seconds into regulation to open scoring, one-timed a Brett Pesce pass off the faceoff for the game-winner 13:51 into the 3rd, and added a long-range empty netter to complete his 3rd career hat trick. Sebastian Aho recorded his second consecutive four-point game, collecting 4 assists last night after scoring a goal and adding 3 assists Wednesday night vs. the Predators. 🚫 Stuart Skinner records 2nd shutout of the season, Oilers blank Sharks 5-0. The 25-year-old netminder recorded 25 saves last night to record his 2nd shutout of the season — a career high — and 4th of his young career. The Oilers charged out to a 4-0 lead in the first thanks to goals from Ryan McLeod, Zach Hyman (his 20th of the season), Evan Bouchard, and Leon Draisaitl before Ryan Nugent-Hopkins added the Oilers 5th and final goal midway through the 2nd period. The win is the Oilers third straight as they improve to 7-3-0 in their last ten games. Read more →

⏱️ Philadelphia scores 3 goals in 2:06 span, Flyers end Canucks’ nine-game point streak with 4-1 win. Egor Zamula wristed a power play goal through a screen at the 15:03 mark of the 2nd, Sean Walker went bar-and-in 81 seconds later, and Joel Farabee buried a beautiful breakaway just 45 seconds after that to give the Flyers a 3-0 lead late in the 2nd. Teddy Blueger gave the Canucks brief hope, scoring 25 seconds into the 3rd, before Garnett Hathaway buried a shorty less than 5 minutes later for the Flyers, who have earned at least one point in 11 of their past 12 games (8-1-3).
